About Kat
In January 2013, I became a mother of two- and discovered while still in the birthing suite that my son had Down syndrome. He was hospitalized just short of two months. Due to severe sleep apnoea, secondary pulmonary hypertension and laryngomalacia, he was on oxygen for the first 16 months of his life.
I took extended leave from work. I rebuilt my life the hard way, as a single parent. I had to take stock of everything in my life and streamline- eliminating everything that wasn’t a priority on my time. I now have two amazing, creative, happy and amusing children who are thirteen and twenty.
This is my place to write. You will find little snippets from the past, from our family, my thoughts, social issues, and about other people in the community I enjoy.
I also have a small NDIS support coordination company. You can join our waitlist here: https://form.jotform.com/252300902020840
